Face to face and online counselling and psychotherapy...
...support for adults experiencing stress, panic, trauma and loss in the light of this recent and still-present covid-19 pandemic
Hello, I'm Cathie...
Welcome to my website. I offer counselling, psychotherapy and clinical supervision in South Devon. I'm working Face to Face, and on Skype, or Zoom. Particularly now during this COVID-19 pandemic, many people who didn’t previously experience much anxiety are struggling to keep anxious thoughts in check. If this is you, consider whether talking to a professional might help you learn how to live with more ease through these still difficult times.
I've built a respected track record over 18 years working with clients in a variety of therapeutic settings, including the NHS, social services, counselling agencies, education and business - helping people get to know themselves better, making possible the lasting changes they want.

Within these broad areas, many clients also come to therapy suffering from depression, anxiety, or feeling just lost. They may have experienced trauma and abuse, or feel they cant stop the unhelpful cycle of addiction. Often the loss of a friend or relative, or a lifelong career makes it suddenly impossible to cope. I work with all these areas and many more, and invite you to begin the process of talking through what may be troubling you, and to make the changes that you want.
I'm committed to offering therapy in a safe, confidential and non judgemental environment. Therapy sessions are offered on an open-ended basis, or for an agreed period of time. My aim is simply to work with you in whatever way helps without undermining your inner authority or dignity.
I also provide individual supervision to those working in the counselling, psychotherapy and other caring professions.
My practice is based in Ipplepen, South Devon, easily accessible, due to the good connection of the Devon Expressway/A38. Further directions can be found at Cost and contact.
Born and bred in Glasgow, and having lived there on an off over my life, I especially welcome Scottish or Glasgow-based clients to my online practice. Knowing a lot about the living and breathing context of my home country, I believe I can offer much back as your therapist.
